The NABARD FPO Accelerator Program in Maharashtra is implemented in partnership with SFI, NABARD, SMART, and BIRD. Through targeted interventions such as strategic business planning, digital enablement, market linkages, and credit facilitation, the program is enabling FPOs to become self-sustaining enterprises that drive inclusive growth, improve farmer incomes, and strengthen value chain integration in rural India.
Key Highlights – July 2025
- Team Induction & Onboarding: Induction conducted for new staff; digital tool developed for data collection.
- Baseline Completion: Survey conducted across all 40 FPOs and their shareholders to identify key value chains and business potential.
- Strategic Business Planning: Customized business plans prepared to address gaps; over 75% FPOs advised to adopt new value chain activities.
- Capacity Building: Two-day residential foundation training held for Board of Directors (BoDs) of FPOs.
- Input & Credit Linkages:
- 5 FPOs onboarded with DeHaat
- 12 FPOs joined Syngenta Retailer App for digital input business
- 4 FPOs received input business licenses; 5 more in process
- Credit linkage initiated with banks
- Digital Transformation: 19 FPOs onboarded with DAT agencies to digitize accounting and operational data.
