Our Work

Overview

At Syngenta Foundation India (SFI), we are dedicated to improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers. Our mission is to enhance agricultural resilience by reducing cultivation costs, promoting climate-smart agriculture, and creating diverse income streams for farmers. With over 20,000 Agri-Entrepreneurs (AEs) trained and mentored, we are scaling up solutions that drive financial independence, foster innovation, and ensure agricultural sustainability across India.

By 2035, our goal is to create 1,00,000 Agri-Entrepreneurs and impact over 10 million smallholder farmers, with a strong focus on women’s economic empowerment and climate resilience.

Agri-Entreprenership Programme

Syngenta Foundation India today works with 2.4 Million small holder farmers to extend the last mile delivery services. As of November 2024, 20,850+ AE’s have been trained to provide services to about 2.4 Million farmers across 13 states in India.
