At Syngenta Foundation India (SFI), we are dedicated to empowering India’s smallholder farmers, enabling them to thrive and contribute significantly to the nation’s agricultural progress. Established in 2005 as a not-for-profit organization, SFI has consistently worked to address the challenges faced by small and marginal farmers, focusing on access to better resources, knowledge, and market linkages. We aimed to bridge the gap between advanced agricultural research and practical implementation at the grassroots level.
We are committed to scaling these impacts even further. We continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in agricultural development, focusing on projects that enhance climate resilience, promote women’s empowerment, and leverage digital technologies.

Rajendra Jog
Executive Director
With 35 years of experience in the Agri industry, Mr. Jog leads as Country Director and heads initiatives for rural youth skill development.
Vikram Borade
Chief Operating Officer
With over 20 years of experience in banking and finance, Mr. Vikram Borade is currently leading research initiatives. He specializes in developing and implementing innovative credit programs and researching the impact.
Anitha Govindaraj
Head - Gender & FPO Initiatives
With a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, and 18 years of diverse experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, Policy Analysis, and Project Management. She has led the women’s AE program in Bihar and MP, and now she is focusing on the development of women in the agricultural sector.
Aparna Shukla
Head – Monitoring and Evaluation
With over 18 years of experience, she has made an impactful contribution in leading the Monitoring and Evaluation of projects at the organization. Her areas of expertise are monitoring and evaluation, financial inclusion, livelihood, gender, MSME, agriculture, education, policy and advocacy, project management, etc.
Avijit Nayak
Head - Innovations and Agronomy
With over 25+ years of experience in the Agriculture Development Sector, Mr. Avijit Nayak holds an M.Sc (Ag) in Agronomy. He has expertise in seed production, technology validation, curriculum development, and sustainable agricultural practices.
Kedar Ghungurde
Head Finance
With 18 years of finance and accounting experience in MNC and C.A., Mr. Kedar Ghungurde is currently steering the financial aspects, ensuring the organization’s financial processes support its mission.
Rahul Tidake
Head-Strategy & New Initiatives
With over 9 years of experience, Mr. Rahul Tidake develops sustainable business models for project portfolios in both new and existing AEs’ enterprises, including creating digital ecosystems within the AE program. Rahul also leads strategic partnerships.
Ravindra Katre
Head- Training and Knowledge Management
With 32 years of service in the implementation and development of CSR projects, Mr. Ravindra Katre heads the Training and Knowledge Management at Syngenta Foundation India, specializing in rural and agri development.
