A collaborative project under SBIF Leap program for Income enhancement of smallholder farmers through Agri-entrepreneurship, the program has completed one year of implementation on field. The program focuses on enhancing smallholder farmer incomes by fostering local entrepreneurship. Now in its second year, the program continues to train, guide, and support rural youth in creating agri-businesses that benefit the entire farming community.
The program has seen positive momentum with the effort to align training with field reality and provide targeted mentoring that remains central to the project’s approach.
Snapshot – March 2025:
- So far, 324 AEs have been trained and amongst them 32% are women AEs.
- 24 new AEs incubated (161 total AEs incubated to date)
- 34,227 farmers onboarded, including 10,268 women farmers
- 8,257 new acres brought under agri-intervention this month
- 22 nursery structures booked, 20 delivered, 6 installed
- 110 farmer meetings conducted
- 20 demo plots inspected under Rabi Demo Plot exposure, covering 2,704 farmers
- 104 AEs participated in Exposure & Business Plan Orientation
- Monthly transaction value: ₹4.18 Cr
