A new chapter in youth empowerment unfolded in Aligarh with the launch of the IRise Program, a transformative initiative by Syngenta Foundation India (SFI), in collaboration with Syngenta India and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). Designed to nurture the next generation of agri-leaders, the program aims to equip young minds across Uttar Pradesh with skills in sustainable farming, entrepreneurship, and agri-innovation.
This event was unveiled under the chairmanship of Prof. Mohammad Gulrez- Former VC, AMU in the presence of esteemed guests from Aligarh, including, Mr. Shravan Kumar, Joint Director, Agriculture; Mr. Satish Malik, Dy. Director, Plant Protection; Mr. Dhirendra Singh, District Agriculture Officer; Prof. Mujeebur Rahman Khan, Course Director- Plant Protection, AMU; Prof. Rais Ullah Khan- Dean, Faculty of Agriculture Sciences-AMU; Dr. Ziaul Haque, Course Coordinator, Plant Protection-AMU; Mr. Deepak Kumar, Divisional Marketing Manager- Syngenta; Mr. Bhagwan Singh, Syngenta India, Mr. Himanshu Singh, Syngenta India and Dr. Devesh Tiwari, Master Trainer, SFI.
The program will equip local youth with:
- Deeper knowledge of sustainable farming practices
- Exposure to agri-technologies
- Entrepreneurial training
- Insights into crop diversification and value creation
